Open gears particularly require very adhesive lubricants to protect their tooth flanks reliably from wear over a long period of time. Klüber Lubrication has a comprehensive range of lubricants for the start-up and running-in of large gear drives and for gear operation and repair under varying operational conditions in all climate zones.

Chain drives have to work reliably, often under harsh and difficult operating conditions such as moisture, media influence and high, low or fluctuating temperatures. Good adhesion and penetrating properties are required, as the chain oils should neither be flung off nor washed out of the friction points. Klüber’s competence in high-temperature chain oils for conveyors, film stretchers, continuous wood presses, drying and coating plants and the food or textile industries is particularly impressive.

Lubricants used for compressors must be compatible with air, process gases or refrigerants. They may also be used for the evacuation of gases, e.g. in vacuum pumps. Klüber Lubrication’s Summit and Tyreno products are particularly suitable for these applications.

The textile industry has particularly high requirements with regard to lubrication: high temperatures in spinning pumps, neutral behaviour towards synthetic textile yarns, scourability of needle and sinker oils, and high temperatures or aggressive media in textile finishing machines. Klüber Lubrication has a wide range of tried-and-tested products for these applications.

Solid lubricant suspensions can be used to obtain emergency or long-term lubricating properties in oil-lubricated friction points and high temperatures, for example in chains, screws or guide rails in industrial ovens. These special mixtures contain solid lubricants in addition to special carrier oils. The oil component evaporates at temperatures of approx. 200 °C (392 °F) and the solid lubricant component takes over the lubrication operating as a dry lubricant.
