Crompton Greaves Ltd, started manufacturing pumps in 1964. We manufacture all types of pumps suitable for handling water, which are used in Agricultural, Domestic and Industrial Sectors. In the last 20 years, the company has undergone a dramatic transformation in the areas of product range and capacities.
The early eighties, saw the transformation of Indian market from a sellers to a buyers market, which threw up new challenges for the company. "Water round the Clock..." - the mission statement for pumps was conceptualised.
In the past 10 years the Company's pumps sale has grown from Rs.800 million (94-95) to Rs.2120 million. (in 05-06), which yields a compounded annual growth rate of more than 10%. The healthy growth has been possible due to the consistent development of new products based on customer demand.
Today nearly 80% of the pumps business of the company is through the sourcing of complete products thr'o dedicated plants and other manufacturing units and the rest 20% is through in-house manufacturing.
The driving strengths of the company are focused marketing, customer focus, thrust on Quality and new product development, which has led the company to enjoy the active of the pumps market leadership in India in domestic sector.
Today Crompton Greaves Ltd is the only company having a wide product range of more than 1000 varied pump models catering to different areas of application i.e. Domestic, Agriculture & Industrial under one roof.
