RMITIS for Indian Railway (Roof Mounted Infrared Thermal Imaging System)

With increasing load and traffic on electrified railway lines, the incidences of OHE cable failure are increasing day by day. The OHE cable encounters regular friction, electric sparks, high current & temperature and thus likely to develop local points, which leads to failure. Micro Therm is engineered to detect the hot spots and fault points at high speed in OHE centenaries of railways network. The system can be fitted on any engine or bogie, and works automatically while the train travels.

It gives the result in form of photo of hot spot, temperature detail, the physical location of hot spot on the railway track with GPS co-ordinates of Location.

Micro Therm Solution:

It can be fitted on any moving engine, involves A series (A325 – 60 Hz) Thermal Imagery, laptop with application and database system, integrated GPS devices and user interface program
It gives out automatic reports in format as adopted by Railway Networks
Thermal Imaging Camera from FLIR is installed on roof top of train in IP 65 enclosure, further covered with metallic housing for dual protection from all type of weather & theft
Overhead catenaries will be scanned for any hot spot (as per user defined temperature) from moving train using Micro Therm applications, FLIR Camera & other embedded solution running on Laptop inside the engine
