Vapor Absorption Technology is an alternative cooling technology that runs on waste heat and reduces the environmental impact. Unlike conventional electricity driven Compression machines, Vapor Absorption Machines are driven by waste heat sources like Steam, hot water, natural gas, fuel oils, Agro waste and other similar fuels. Since heat is the source of energy, operating cost of VAM is minimal leading to wide industry popularity

• Heat Rejection by LiBr+Water solution
• Condensation of Refrigerant Vapor (Water Vapor)

Based on the input souce of heat , VAM can be classified as

1.0 STEAM FIRED VAMS

1. Single stage /Single effect type : 75 NTR – 1400 NTR (Steam press.: 0.5 – 3.5 Kg/cm2 (G))
2. Double stage /Double effect type : 50 NTR – 1800 NTR (Steam press.: 4- 10 Kg/cm2 (G))

2.0 DIRECT FIRED ABSORPTION VAMS

In cases where steam is not available or when there is a constraint to install a steam boiler, as in many commercial complexes and department stores, we offer the Direct Oil or Gas Fired Absorption chillers.

The available range is from 40 NTR to 1100 NTR single chiller which can be fired on :
a) Light Oil ( HSD , NAPTHA , SKO )
b) Medium Oil ( LDO , FO )
c) Gas ( Natural Gas , LPG )

3.0 HOT WATER FIRED VAPOUR ABSORPTION MACHINES

Hot water fired VAM’s use hot water as the source of energy input to drive to the VAM

All single effect steam fired, double effect steam fired and all direct gas and oil fired machines are rated for the following standard parameters.

Chilled water temperature in/out : 12.2 / 6.7 deg C
Cooling water temperature in/out : 29.4 / 35 deg C
Fouling factor chilled water / cooling water : 0.0001 metric units.
Minimum chilled water temperature achievable : 4.5 deg C.
