Radial Impeller

A radial impeller is a type of turbine or centrifugal pump which moves water, or other fluids, outward in a radial direction, typically by the use of several angled blades which push the fluid away from the central axis. Radial impellers are typically fixed, or allow some degree of adjustment, enabling them to be adapted to different water flow and pressure requirements. Radial impellers are often used in water pumps and air compressors, and can also be found in turbochargers, in which they are used to accelerate and compress air entering the combustion engine’s cylinders.
