Regenerative Pump

A regenerative pump is a type of pump that uses a series of kinetic energy and potential energy conversions to increase the pressure of a fluid. It uses a rotating impeller blade to draw in fluid from the suction side, which is then accelerated and discharged as a high-velocity jet. The jet of fluid is directed so that some of the potential energy is converted back into kinetic energy, thus increasing the pressure even further. This process is repeated multiple times, leading to a high pressure discharge. Regenerative pumps are used frequently in many applications, such as wastewater treatment, cooling systems, and hydrostatic testing.
