Impeller Pumps

Impeller pumps are centrifugal pumps that use a rotating impeller within a volute casing to move fluid by partial vacuum or periodic centrifugal force. For optimal operation, the impeller must be positioned precisely within the volute casing and perfectly aligned with the pump shaft. Impellers can be made from various materials, including stainless steel, bronze, and plastic, depending on the pump application. Depending on the application, impeller pumps can be used to move either gases or liquids. In some cases, they can also be used to pump slurries, sludge, and solids. Impeller pumps are ideal for applications where high head/pressure needs to be generated, as they can provide much higher pressures than other types of pumps.
