Soman Electro Hydraulic Thruster deliver gentle thrust without any jerks, consuming very negligible power. It is rated for 100% continuous duty & can withstand many switching operations without over heating the motor. They can be fitted up to 10° from the vertical in either direction due to swivel mounting arrangements.

Assembly & Function:

The pretension in this spring decides the breaking torque. The thruster is fitted on the base by hinge pin. When the thrusters is not energized, the brakes are pressed on the brake drum fitted on the drive motor shaft & hold it under the effect of braking force provided by the spring. In such condition, the brake is applied & the drum cannot rotate. When the first lever reaches the stop on the brake base member the brake lever at the thrusters begins to move, releasing the brake drum.
