The Challenge

To Develop a Data Acquisition System for monitoring the width and height of radiator tubes and display results using a Statistical Process Controller.

The Solution

National Instruments LabVIEW and NI-CompactDAQ were used  to develop a highly reliable and flexible Data Acquisition and Control system for monitoring width and height of radiator tubes and the results were displayed using the SPC Chart.

The benefits of NI-CompactDAQ together with NI-LabVIEW helped in developing a very professional Data Acquisition and Monitoring System. Integrating the hardware used in this project was made very simple and the results obtained were much more accurate than that of the earlier method of operation. The results were analyzed and displayed using the SPC Chart.

Project Description

National Instruments Hardware and Software were used for the field device data acquisition and monitoring the width and height of the radiator tubes. This system was designed for 14, 18.5 and 25.9 mm radiators. Linear motion potentiometers were used as the field measurement device.

CDAQ Based Automation System

This is a Data Acquisition and Monitoring System.The object under measurement was the radiator tubes. The parameters under measurement were the width and height of the radiator tubes. This system was designed with NI-CompactDAQ since it has many proven benefits when used in data acquisition and monitoring systems
