Rotary Piston Pump

A rotary piston pump is a type of positive displacement pump which utilizes a series of rotating pistons to deliver a consistent, smooth flow of liquid or gas. Rotary piston pumps work by using a rotating cylinder that contains several pistons and a number of connecting rods. The pistons are driven by a motor, but the pump is self-priming and doesn’t require any external lubrication. The rotating pistons draw in liquid or gas and then compress it, increasing its pressure and displacement before forcing it out through a discharge port. Unlike some other pumps, rotary piston pumps are capable of running for long periods of time without the need for maintenance and repairs. They are often used in applications such as fuel transfer, industrial fluid processing, and chemical processing.
