Turbomolecular Pump

A turbomolecular pump is a type of vacuum pump that uses a rotating turbine blade, to separate gas molecules from a vacuum system or create a vacuum in a container. Turbomolecular pumps work by creating suction which allows gas molecules to be pulled away from the vacuum container. The process of creating a vacuum is done when a series of turbine blades contact moving blades, creating a vacuum by removing molecules from the container. Turbomolecular pumps can create ultra-high vacuum pressures, often down to 10-9 Torr. This type of vacuum pump is utilized in many scientific and industrial laboratory applications.
