Brass Float Valve

A brass float valve is a type of automatic shutoff valve commonly used in plumbing applications. It utilizes a buoyant component, typically made of brass, which is normally kept at the bottom of a tank or container by the force of gravity. As the water level rises, the float lifts with it and when the preset maximum water level is reached, the float pushes a lever, activating the valve which shuts off the water supply. Brass float valves are typically more reliable and higher quality than their plastic counterparts and are mostly used in commercial and industrial settings.
