Su-Kam's Solar Home Lighting system is a portable mini off-grid system that lets you use solar energy in an efficient and inexpensive way. It comes with fan, light and TV that run on DC, so that no energy is wasted in DC to AC conversion.

When solar panel generates DC electricity, it goes through the Solar Home Lighting System, which has an in-built solar charge controller, to power DC electrical equipment such as lights, fan and TV. It also has in-built battery to store solar energy for future use.

• Su-Kam's Solar Homelighting System can automatically detect when the day sets and night begins. It will automatically switch on the DC light when it detects drop in power coming from solar panel.
• During bad weather and cloudy days Solar Home Lighting System can be charged from the grid. So it can also act as a mini-inverter.
• It has an in-built 2.20 amps solar charge controller to ensure that battery doesn't get overcharged. It also prohibits the back flow of current from battery to solar panels during nighttime.
• Solar Homelighting System lets you enjoy light and cool air from fan, your favorite TV shows and charge your phone in pure DC. Its 2 LED lights consume 1.5 W nominal power and are more luminous than CFLs or tube lights. These LED lamps have a longer life of approximately upto 10,000 hrs.
• The in-built battery in Solar Home Lighting System gets charged from pure DC coming from solar panels. Pure DC charging prolongs battery life.
• Solar Home Lighting System's in-built charge controller is designed to protect battery from very high voltage coming from solar panels. It also ensures that battery doesn't go into deep discharge.
