The Solar Road Studs we offer are mainly used for road safety, traffic guidance and to mark traffic hazards. The extra bright flashing LEDs fitted in the Solar Road Studs are extremely efficient at warning. Entirely self-contained and requiring no maintenance, solar powered Solar Road Studs are designed to handle extremely high compression. The use of aluminum, polycarbonate and reinforced glass makes Solar Road Studs almost indestructible.
Mechanism of Solar Road Stud
- High intensity LEDs are powered by NiMh rechargeable batteries or by super capacitors on more recent products
- Lighting is obtained by extra bright LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes)
- Super capacitors are not toxic. They have an impulse power ten times superior to rechargeable batteries and are capable of very high energy storage. Solar road studs using super capacitors can have a life span of more than 15 years
