Design

Maxflow Horizontal Split Casing Pumps are axially split in design with construction in single or double stage, single or double suction volute casings. These pumps have an advanced hydraulic design for optimum performance with stable operating characteristics. Horizontal, axially split, volute casing with supporting feet cast integrally or mounted separately depending upon the type of pump. Suction and discharge connections are cast with lower casing for ease of maintenance. Rotating assembly can be taken out without disturbing the piping connections. Impellers are dynamically balanced and are placed back to back in double stage pumps of HH and QH designs for balancing axial hydraulic thrust. Sealing is provided by gland packing or mechanical seals. Shafts are protected by shaft sleeves under stuffing box.

Material of construction

Standard cast iron or bronze impellers fitted with high tensile steel shafts optionally stainless steel, cast steel, Ni-resist casings with shafts in stainless steel.
