EcoQuip Wet Blasting Machine is totally different to the Waterjet Cleaning / HP Water Blasting. Vapor Abrasive Blasting uses abrasive such as garnet or copper slag as a media along with less amount of water which basically adds weight to media by encapsulating each particle ranging from 27 to 55 kg (60 to 120 lbs) to the weight of the media per hour. (Conventional dry blasting involves only the weight of the media and therefore, abrasives with larger particles have to be used in order to maintain the right momentum at the blasting end). The maximum operating pressure with EcoQuip Vapor Abrasive blasting (i.e. pressure inside the pot filled with water and media) will be around 130 psi. Therefore it is very safe and if something goes wrong with EcoQuip Vapor Abrasive Blasting it is matter of getting wet. EcoQuip blasting technology consumes very little water in the process (like 1 to 1.5 litters per minute) to carry the media to the blasting end in lubricated manner. This water which encapsulates each particle of the media / Abrasive sprays in mist form with the help of compressed air and tends to vaporize quickly from the surface of the substrate and that is the reason why this technology is called EcoQuip Vapor Abrasive Blasting. Since water spray striking on the substrate tend to vaporize in no time particularly in a hot climatic conditions prevailing along with right level of humidity the flash rust formation is very unlike.
